Performance of Top Personal Finance Apps on iOS in Kenya Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top five personal finance budgeting and planning apps on the iOS platform in Kenya have shown varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at each app's performance based on the data from Sensor Tower.

Money Manager Expense & Budget by Realbyte Inc. saw a relatively stable trend in its weekly downloads, starting at 94 in early July and peaking at 112 towards the end of August. The app maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, rising from 851 at the start of the quarter to 973 by the end of September.

CashTrails+: Personal Finance, developed by Vasyl Smyrnov, experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, especially in the week of July 22 with 143 downloads. Its weekly active users mirrored this trend, with numbers increasing from 560 in early July to 688 by the end of the quarter.

CashBook - UPI for Business had fluctuating download numbers, with a significant peak of 92 downloads in early September. However, there were no weekly active user statistics available for this app.

Splitwise from Splitwise, Inc. had a steady run with its weekly revenue showing some ups and downs, peaking at $93 in the first week of July. Downloads increased gradually, reaching 75 in mid-August, while active users showed a general upward trend, ending the quarter at 233.

Finally, Spending Tracker by MH Riley Ltd. also had a varied performance. While the app's weekly revenue saw a notable peak at $33 in late September, downloads were particularly high in the first and last weeks of the quarter, with 296 and 170 downloads, respectively. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at 184.
